A Note About My Genealogy

I want to plug my work with my family's genealogy. I have been working on the Mississippi Callender Family genealogy for about 15 years. I've been able to locate a lot of information on a lot of the Callenders and their allied families. One big exception to that is my 5th Great Grandfather, Alexander Denny Callender. There are a lot of information mentioning his name in a book related to the early MS. Territory history with one big exception. Nothing has been found revealing the name of his father and mother and what part of the USA he was born. Several researchers have looked diligently for his early history to no evail. We have found that he married Mary Coleman, Grandaughter of Samuel Swayze. He also married Mary Bein a few years before his death. His death date and place is another mystery. Hopefully, as more and more information about the early history of the MS. Territory is documented and recorded on the Internet, we will eventually find out this information. (Hopefully)

I just discovered Callenders in my family tree. I should say possibly in my family tree because I haven't got any documentary proof. What I will be working to document is that Lydia Callender is my fourth great grandmother, and Alexander Callender is my fifth great grandfather.

I just want to thank you for your posts. I had a hard time finding information on my second great grandmother (Lydia's granddaughter). So, to find your information is a gift. I really do appreciate all that you've shared about Alexander.
